Interface 6:: Lion is measuring out of the Gold

so this another one of the turnarounds: substance and functioning.  Not only do they reveal and conceal, but the very Lioning is what the Gold does. Gold can lion. It’s a verb. Every moment of the experience you have is the heart expressing itself. The universe is Good expressing acts and expressing itself in, through and as every one of us. And then we are accessing that Good in through and as every one of us.

…Thus mentalism renders it easier to understand three great truths:

First, the universe is God made manifest.

Second, God must be immanent in the world just as our mind is immanent in every thought.

Third, because it has a mind behind it, the universe must possess a consistent meaning.       –The Wisdom of the Overself  Ch11

Were the World-Mind beyond, because outside, the finite universe, then it would be limited by that universe and thus lose its own infinitude. But because it includes the universe completely within itself while remaining completely unlimited, it is genuinely infinite. World-Mind is neither limited nor dissipated by its self-projection in the universe. If World-Mind is immanent in the universe, it is not confined to the universe; if it is present in every particle of the All, its expression is not exhausted by the All.  27.2.25

The World-Mind is expressing through an infinite number of minds its own infinitude multiplied by infinity an infinite number of times.  27.3.25

The universe is not only a thought of World-Mind, but is a “self-revelation” of the World-Mind… The Wisdom of the Overself

The hall of mirrors is a room with mirrors on all sides and floor and ceiling.  It illustrates the simultaneous presence of the Buddha nature in every living being. It is said that the room Fa Tsang had constructed was octagonal.

He led the empress into the room in the dark, and then lit a candle.

A Buddha statue in the center of the floor next to the candle was revealed, and (almost) simultaneously arose in every mirror an image of the Buddha, and images of the other mirrors reflecting all the other images of the Buddha.  I made one about one foot square using six mirror tiles!  (see photo).

By the way, you could also see another image is the gold as your heart and the lion is the neuron electric impulses in your brain. We get caught up in the brain and the thoughts and all that, and we missed the heart.

And that’s what this beautiful picture of Krishna is showing. The gold is the heart and then the brain can arise from that. Learn to see through and with the heart. See from the heart. You won’t get rid of the world. It’ll enhance the world. It will deify the world.  “all this world appearance is a function of the silent infinite Void.”,

Back to Plotinus:  seeking nothing, lacking nothing, possessing nothing. The gold, the good is perfect and. It overflows. So here’s another turn. See the lion as the overflow, as the expression of the gold. It’s not a mistake. It’s not illusion. In fact, modern quantum science has a beautiful name for what it is. When you take a measurement, things appear. Remember, you have all these infinite possibilities. Or modern science even says you have all infinite number of universes all stacked up and every moment of every subatomic particle, of every choice, of every moment a whole new universe appears. Or you move into another universe. Or more simply, the world appears.  How does the lion come out of the gold? In quantum science… you take a measurement. You want to get back to the gold? Stop measuring. You look, without imagination. Learn to see without doing this, (hand clenched) without holding, without resisting, without measuring. You know what? The Vedanta word Maya means Measure.

The lion is measuring out of gold. The universe is the measuring out, the expression in space and time of the formless, nameless, good gold void. Inseperable, no mistake. No need to go anywhere. That’s why PB says when you realize that the reality is continuous with expressed, is present in every moment of the appearance, the desire to desert the world deserts you. It’s nowhere. Sufism calls it fana (deserting) and fana of fana (deserting of even the need for deserting).

Step one, mysticism. I got to get out of here and see this different. Step one, mentalism. I’m not looking at the world correctly. I see it as other than material. I need to break through that old belief. And then I need to have a deep mystical experience of the good of the goal.

That’s not the end. Got to bring them together:  in the world, but not of it. That’s what Jesus said. I think that’s where this goes. That’s where Fatsang was bringing the Empress: in the world, but not of the world.

When you’re in the world and of the world, you miss the Good. When you’re not in the world and not of the world you are in the Vod.  But Fatsang wants to bring both together. Amazing.

Remember the koan, the sound of one hand clapping? Well, for a long time, we have an image of aligning, of two hands coming together. And then you realize, no, Avery, it’s just one hand with two reverses. That’s the sound of the universe manifesting. It’s just the gold substance and the lion function. It it’s the good expressing itself. It was fun for me.
