where are you standing?

Standing…

Indigenous Grandmother: Walk your talk..

That is what Philosophy…  is applied…. Living…  lived… not only words…     As we apply the teachings, the more we become them, we marinate in their energy, not only theoretical.

where are you standing, in the light, at the center, in awareness, or standing in your way… standing in the eye of the hurricane… stand firmly rooted in overself, in rootedness, so we are not in our own way, in our true nature, other dimension… just remembering it is quite a great faith is good start….

Standing in the faith… unmovable.   Use the analogy… willow which moves but is rooted…  wonderful analogy…  if you are too rigid… if rooted in rigid material…    then you can be blown over.

When you are rooted, built our lives on deep truths, on the reality of the other dimension…. If my house is on sand, then it will dissolve me.  But if my house is built on Overself, on divine, not on ego, then I keep presence, keep everyone in light, not allow fear…

Overself…. Fathomless … it is that… other dimension… God, Overself…  it is nameless… the words point us to it, to open us to it, to remember it,   Rooted flexibility…

Nonduality in its extreme form is not to the taste of the masses. Instinctively they shy away from it. Let the two views accommodate each other. While these levels of reference ought not to be mixed together when theory and principles are concerned, there is one way in which there is considerable profit to be gained if the timeless eternal and universal atmosphere of Vedanta is kept at the back of the mind when the worldly problems have to be met. They can be met with this remembrance that one’s true being is, and will be, safe and unaffected, and that whatever decision or action we are called to make, the first thing is to keep calm.  23.5.157

Apply these things…  Also the other day… great martial arts master: when bad comes, don’t let it get you.  When pleasant comes: don’t let it get to you.  Even when there is horror: stand firm.  Even when joy, illness, crisis, you will have a firm basis in the other dimension… even if you didn’t get transformed, you have certainty, deep YES it is so…

There is an image of a Plumb line with a weight…  and when the weight is moved, keeps us pointing to, rooted in,  the Overself….

Keep yourself directed, oriented, compass always points north, everything does point to the center, the still center… find a metaphor that works for you.  The pointing … the rays, the radii, God is center… up to us to point to center… and… it is the Heliotrope: God in us pointing us to God in us.

Tara Brach… quotes Nisargadatta:

“mind creates the abyss, the heart crosses it.” Ch.2 .

AND:

Q: Without the world there is no place for love.
M: Quite so. All these attributes; being, consciousness, love and beauty are reflections of the real in the world. No real — no reflection.
Q: The world is full of desirable things and people. How can I imagine it non-existent?
M: Leave the desirable to those who desire. Change the current of your desire from taking to giving. The passion for giving, for sharing, will naturally wash the idea of an external world out of your mind, and of giving as well. Only the pure radiance of love will remain, beyond giving and receiving.
Q: In love there must be duality, the lover and the beloved.
M: In love there is not the one even, how can there be two? Love is the refusal to separate, to make distinctions. Before you can think of unity, you must first create duality. When you truly love, you do not say: ‘I love you’; where there is mentation, there is duality.  Ch 72
